While most people take pictures of their friends and families when they are on vacation, I take pictures of shop signs. Lots of them. I should consider making an album since I have so many. It interest me how unique a store can decorate their company logo. Can anyone guess where these photos of signs where taken? They where taken awhile back; using my D70s at the time, while I was shopping somewhere in Southern California.
Its almost 4th of July. Looks like its going to be a six day weekend for me. I have a few photography sessions and next week I’ll be attending another photography workshop. I love learning other photographers point of views and photography style. I can always learn something new. Maybe I’ll see some photography friends there too.. If you want to see what it is all about, get tickets now. It seems to be selling out quick.
Weekly Photo Art (make up) - Picnic at the park!
Comments Off
The past two weeks have really kept me busy. So to make for the two weeks I’ve missed my weekly photo art, here is a make up set. These photos where taken in Vacaville California where my family had a small picnic at one of the local parks. It was a perfect day outside while the barbecue was cooking and the kids were having the time of their lives. I managed to take a few shots of my brother and his wife taking a small walk while my niece was kicking a soccer ball that is half her size. After all that fun, I got awarded with a huge sun burn! =)

What a busy week. I just finished developing 1700 photos and now its time to organize them and pick my creative 20. These are 20 photo that I personally touch up. Now after all of that and finding out from my manager that I can work from home, there’s no way I would have forgotten my weekly photo art.
This weeks photo artwork is of my sister in-law Lalaine and her co-worker Felicia. I’ve taken a few pictures of them in the past, but never gotten around to develop any of them completely. But while I while I was fixing photos this week, this one had me say “DOPE”. So dope I spilled my salsa and chips while editing it 10 minutes ago. Hey lady that keeps her cleaning stuff behind the TV, can i get some 409.
Now all I need to do this is to finish my monthly photo. Anyone available for a short photo session?
Just a quick update. My art book is ready to be organized and I should have it sent to Italy for printing by the end of this week. If anyone wants a mini copy, I’ll have a few to spare. Enjoy your week!

Developing - KP Wedding is Chosen!

So on Monday I received a sample packet from one of the places where I have my albums made. This time I got to look at different material they offer. And after looking at the different options they have I decided it’s time for a new portfolio. What better wedding to chose for my portfolio than a fun one. And last weekends wedding was so fun that I didn’t even have to get drunk. That being said, I have chosen a majority of their pictures to be part of my project. So here’s some more samples of what I have been working on. I’ll post more later this week. Out of 1700 photos I still have 1610 to go. Time to for a new Mac!
Weekly Photo Art - Khoi and Paulette Hoang

Yesterday was an awesome wedding. Khoi and Paulette really know how to party. I can’t think of one person at the reception that did not have a good time. Everyone was dancing even before dinner was served. I spoke with the DJ; whom I use to DJ weddings with, and apparently the party went over the time the party was suppose to end and nobody even left. The reception in a mansion viewing the coastline in Bencia California.
Now I have nearly 1700 photos to organize and develop. I’ll post more later. In the meantime enjoy this sample.
Weekly Photo Art - Cold Day at Pier 5

After work yesterday I did a small photo session with my co-worker, his wife, and daughter. We were planning on heading to three locations that my photography buddy at work recommended. Its amazing how fast the weather changes in San Francisco. It went from a nice warm day to a very cold windy one. So instead we made it very short and headed to Pier39 for some seafood. Thanks for dinner guys, the halibut steak was awesome!
Not only did we get some cool shots and delicious fish, but we also killed 3 hours of crazy holiday weekend traffic. So even though we didn’t finish our photo sessions it was a fun afternoon!
TRAVEL ADVISORY: If you have a baby and plan on traveling to fisherman’s wharf in San Francisco, bring a hat or beanie because none of the gift shops seem to have any for the little onces to stay warm.
Weekly Photo Art - Lunch is On Me!
Comments Off
My buddy and I went out to lunch a few months ago. Usually I’m very slick to get the bill and pay for it, but this time she beat me to it. Since I had my camera with me that day at work I took some shots and decided to post a few for my weekly art. And yes the food was great. So if your ever craving for some Japanese food in San Francisco, head to the Tempura House on 1st St. across from the Patelco Bank and next to Adolf Gressor Camera Store.
<p>Hey buddy if you’re reading this, I didn’t forget about the other photos from the other week. I’ll get that to you later. Promise, or lunch is on me. Speaking of which I found a Cuban Restaurant that’s awesome!
