Last week had been one extremely busy one for me as I prepare the team for the Bridal Extravaganza, happening next weekend at the Walnut Creek Marriott. We needed to make some adjustments for the bigger booth space so the entire setup went to the ER for a somewhat new look. Come checkout the almost new design, albums, and products this coming weekend.

Earlier this week my family welcomed a new member. On Monday my brother and sister in law (more of my sister in law than my brother), gave birth to Kiera Jay Sarah. Because I was extremely sick for the past two weeks I didn’t get a chance to take any pictures at the hospital, but that didn’t stop me today. Kiera was so peaceful as I took several pictures of her. How much more adorable can you get!

A few weeks back and two posts prior I showcased a loveable couple at the legendary Boneyard. Early this week I finished the design of the album and sent them off to lab for the final production. It’ll be on hand at our open gallery later next month at the Bridal Extravaganza.

I had a lot of fun at this shoot. Although I had a difficult time deciding which images to keep as there was a lot of good photos to choose from. Here’s a couple to look at. You can also see more on the Party Flicker web site.

It’s my first post of the new decade and why not start with something totally different. One of my first projects of the year is to create a boudoir album of CC. We had an awesome time shooting, except for the fact that we felt like the location seemed completely haunted. But that’s a whole other story. Coolest thing ever is that CC is a fellow DJ too. And she’s a DJ with style. I’ll be post a slide show of the album once it’s completed. Until then, lets all enjoy this New Year!

Love Pumpkin Oreo

Although I’m currently working on editing a few projects I worked on while I was in Vegas, here’s a sneak peak of a couple I shot at the Boneyard. They were really awesome couple to shoot. We had a good time even when it was extremely freezing outside. The pumpkin represents them as a couple in which they have a collection of pumpkins. There is also a story behind the collection, but I will keep you guessing what the story is about.

Shooting at the Boneyard was exciting and fun. We got lucky to get in. Currently it’s not open to the public and I might be one of the last photographers to shoot there for awhile0 The Neon Museum will be closing the Boneyard after Christmas to prepare a portion of the land so they can open it the public next year. I was told it may not be the same when it reopens; but for me and my couple, passing through the gates was a ghostly experience into Las Vegas past we’ll never forget.

While I was away from the Bay Area and enjoying the extreme weather in Las Vegas, I got the chance to spend some time with one of my oldest buddies that I’ve known since the third grade. Seriously, feels good to have a close friend from that long ago. Even cooler than we were pen pals for years when she moved to Germany. I wanted to get a nice family photo of them for Christmas so I can send a gift to my buddy before she heads off to the Army. Here are a few shots from the small session. Her daughter was so cute and had a fun time taking photos with her stuff dog. Although I’m usually not a portrait type shooter, this was super fun shoot for me. Lets see if she’ll like her gift=)

The day after shooting in the rain, we headed out for a solo shoot with Uilani. Although the sky was partly cloudy, the sun was wide awake and beeming down some nice light for us to shoot with. As we headed into the woods and to the path of grandmothers house (j/p), we watch our steps as the rocks were super slippery. I thought it was a ironic how there was a sign to warn people about flash floods. I guess they get a lot of photographers there haha just kidding!

After 3 months of a major blog break I am back from Maui and ready to post some artwork. I have to admit, I didn’t want to come back. I mean, it’s paradise out there. Shooting two days with the Sallee’s was awesome. Although the rain was pouring on us in Hana, we didn’t stop. Funny thing about the rain, it felt like taking a warm shower =)

Here is a set of Uilani and Luke. They were a great couple to shoot in Maui. Not only were they fun to hang out with, but I swear they’re like super stars on the island because we would pass by someone they know. A cool part about shooting a resident couple was getting into areas that tourist weren’t allowed in.

Before I head off to LA and Vegas I’ll be posting Part 2.

School is Done

The past few months I’ve been taking a small break from photography to concentrate on my computer degree program which I will be finishing in the next two months. Although I haven’t completely paused my photography work. Let me share a with you a shoot of another soon to be alumni.

In two hours we shot at three different locations in San Francisco. We headed to close to the shores and around the Giants stadium for some fun photo shots.

We were having a good time just shooting away. And by the end of the day, I had a lot of photos to play with. Here’s a small slideshow of some of the artwork taken during the shoot.

A few months back I posted an engagement session of a couple I called Crazy Love Addicts. About a week ago they had  a beautiful  beach wedding at Half Moon Bay. We spent an entire day with the love addicts and really enjoy hanging with them and their families.

Above is a few art pieaces from that day. You can also check out a slide show we presented to them earlier this week. Maybe I’ll post a few more later after I get a chance to give them their final images.
