As I’ve been working on a few weddings I decided to upgrade my system. Mainly because I got a dope deal on some LCD’s and since I had a few gift cards to get rid of I might as well buy one hefty tank to do my dirty work. I got it all on Friday and just finished setting up the new command center an hour ago. I would have been done sooner if calibrating the monitors didn’t take a few hours.

Anyways, it is late but I do plan to post a few pieaces of artwork to showoff. I also have something different to. About a month ago I did a wedding Lord and Jessica and I’m just finishing up some of the photos. I have a new program to play with, so you’ll be seeing a slide show of their wedding once I’m finished. Yap, my first slide show post. I may not even post anymore images.

Time to get back to work. After this month I may need to higher my rate…

I though the shoot could use some light from all this edgy look. Meet Linda. OK, you met her, now get out of my way she’s my subject haha=) When you shoot with more than one photographer it gets pretty hectic when they’re all gutting for the same spot. But that didn’t happen during this shoot. In fact another shot was being taken 2 feet behind me. Now that’s what I call teamwork. It’s pretty hard to chose which art piece to post when there’s some awesome shots of your subject. Well at least I have a few more days to post more.

Fiercely Urban for My Jeans

As I said yesterday, here’s a few more shots from the Flicker Shoot. Sorry, still can’t tell you what these are for. I guess you’ll have to stay tuned in. The first piece of art I like to call Fiercely Urban for My Jeans. Don’t ask me why. I said don’t ask! And the second artwork is called Magical Shades. I know the image is a little small, so your welcome to see a bigger copy by clicking on it.

WHERE’S THE WEDDING? Yes I’ve got a few to post, but you’ll have to wait until later.

EAT OUT RECOMMENDATIONS

So if you need some energy in the morning head to Noah’s Bagels and get a sesame with garlic herb and smoked salmon. This has nothing to do with photography I’m just really hungry!

Magical Shareds

So it’s been awhile since my last post. It seems as though my weekly photo art is almost becoming a monthly photo art. I guess when it’s a busy season for photography I can’t complain. I wasn’t expecting to post any photos from a Top Secret Photo Shoot the Flicker crew did a few weeks ago, but I guess I couldn’t resist. I’m trying something different from my normal vivid colors to a washout format. Not my normal stuff, but its always good to try something new. I’ll explain the shoot in the near future, but for now enjoy the next few days as I slowly post a few.

There is never enough hard drive space on my computer when you have a wedding gig to download. So before I free up some space here’s a few more samples shots of the I Shoot People Tour workshop that I took and manipulated using the tools and techniques I’ve learned. I still have a few more I’d like to post. Maybe I’ll make it into a slide show; after all, I did take 1089 photos. Of course that includes the night we hung out at the Jazz bar. Anyways, I’d like to know what everyone thinks. Please feel free to leave me a comment. I’m still working on perfecting a fine art!

Last week had really kept me busy. But the best part of all the things I did was attending a photography workshop by Sallee Photography. The I Shoot People Tour was one of the best photography workshop I had ever attended. I really got to learn a lot of stuff and I had an awesome time. If you’re a photographer, you may not want to miss out on one of the tour stops.

Here are some photos that I took on the first day and some tips I learned from photoshop jedi JB haha=) I’ll post a few more later on my blog only to see what some photographers at the seminar think. I may not be as good as some of these other cats, but hopefully I’ve improved. Thanks DeEtte and JB, I’ll see you guys at WPPI!

There are Signs Everywhere

While most people take pictures of their friends and families when they are on vacation, I take pictures of shop signs. Lots of them. I should consider making an album since I have so many. It interest me how unique a store can decorate their company logo. Can anyone guess where these photos of signs where taken? They where taken awhile back; using my D70s at the time, while I was shopping somewhere in Southern California.

Its almost 4th of July. Looks like its going to be a six day weekend for me. I have a few photography sessions and next week I’ll be attending another photography workshop. I love learning other photographers point of views and photography style. I can always learn something new. Maybe I’ll see some photography friends there too.. If you want to see what it is all about, get tickets now. It seems to be selling out quick.

Picnic at the Park

The past two weeks have really kept me busy. So to make for the two weeks I’ve missed my weekly photo art, here is a make up set. These photos where taken in Vacaville California where my family had a small picnic at one of the local parks. It was a perfect day outside while the barbecue was cooking and the kids were having the time of their lives. I managed to take a few shots of my brother and his wife taking a small walk while my niece was kicking a soccer ball that is half her size. After all that fun, I got awarded with a huge sun burn! =)

Lalane and Felicia

What a busy week. I just finished developing 1700 photos and now its time to organize them and pick my creative 20. These are 20 photo that I personally touch up. Now after all of that and finding out from my manager that I can work from home, there’s no way I would have forgotten my weekly photo art.

This weeks photo artwork is of my sister in-law Lalaine and her co-worker Felicia. I’ve taken a few pictures of them in the past, but never gotten around to develop any of them completely. But while I while I was fixing photos this week, this one had me say “DOPE”. So dope I spilled my salsa and chips while editing it 10 minutes ago. Hey lady that keeps her cleaning stuff behind the TV, can i get some 409.

Now all I need to do this is to finish my monthly photo. Anyone available for a short photo session?

Just a quick update. My art book is ready to be organized and I should have it sent to Italy for printing by the end of this week. If anyone wants a mini copy, I’ll have a few to spare. Enjoy your week!

Now you didn’t think I would leave a project undone. I’m nearly finish with the session I had with my co-worker and his family. But the rest will be for their eyes only, so I hope you like the sample!
