Weekly Photo Art – Cold Day at Pier 5
Comments Off
After work yesterday I did a small photo session with my co-worker, his wife, and daughter. We were planning on heading to three locations that my photography buddy at work recommended. Its amazing how fast the weather changes in San Francisco. It went from a nice warm day to a very cold windy one. So instead we made it very short and headed to Pier39 for some seafood. Thanks for dinner guys, the halibut steak was awesome!
Not only did we get some cool shots and delicious fish, but we also killed 3 hours of crazy holiday weekend traffic. So even though we didn’t finish our photo sessions it was a fun afternoon!
TRAVEL ADVISORY: If you have a baby and plan on traveling to fisherman’s wharf in San Francisco, bring a hat or beanie because none of the gift shops seem to have any for the little onces to stay warm.
Weekly Photo Art – Lunch is On Me!

My buddy and I went out to lunch a few months ago. Usually I’m very slick to get the bill and pay for it, but this time she beat me to it. Since I had my camera with me that day at work I took some shots and decided to post a few for my weekly art. And yes the food was great. So if your ever craving for some Japanese food in San Francisco, head to the Tempura House on 1st St. across from the Patelco Bank and next to Adolf Gressor Camera Store.
<p>Hey buddy if you’re reading this, I didn’t forget about the other photos from the other week. I’ll get that to you later. Promise, or lunch is on me. Speaking of which I found a Cuban Restaurant that’s awesome!
Fun Photo – The Kids!

I took this picture on March 3rd. My nieces and nephew where playing around with toys in the living room and when I pulled out the big camera they started to look up and smile, like they were trained to do that when I have my camera. Although I was trying to get to get them playing, this was a pretty cool shot.
Since I haven’t done a retouch like this in awhile, I’d thought I would do it on this photo. Its been awhile since I’ve done this affect. I think the last one I did is on my MySpace page when I first got my D70s. Although I normally don’t do a monthly photo art, we can make an exception this month. Hope you guys like it!
Weekly Photo Art – Welcome Audrey to a New Day!

This weeks photo art is two pictures of my friends Francis and Sheena’s new baby daughter Audrey. While Francis is one of the Party Flickers photographers, I thought it would be cool to get of picture of him with his baby girl. And now that I think of it, there is a lot of photographers in his family. Boy! Or should I say Girl! Audrey is going to have a lot of art books on her parents coffee table when she gets older.
Weekly Photo Art – Joe Buissink & Yervant Seminar

Last week me and my friend John from Living Photography took the day off work and attend a seminar by two of my favorite photographers. I was like a sponge learning new things and improving others. Here is I took during the outing session we had.
This is a picture of a couple who will be getting married and modeled for us. I took this picture from what I learned at the seminar. I listened to Joe Buissink and placed all my settings in auto. Kind of scary since I never seen a professional like him ever take a picture in auto. And I edited the photo from what I learned from Yervant. I’ll post more later.
